STUDENTS’ CONVENTION: 16th NOVEMBER 2009
To encourage greater participation /involvement of students at the undergraduate level and initiate them into training and research in Metallurgical Engineering, the ATM 2009 will organize, in continuation of the recently instituted practice, a special session for UG students enabling them to present their original work (not reviews) as oral/poster presentation in an All-India competition with attractive prizes and citations in conjunction with ATM 2009. The guidelines for participation in the contest are:
- Each entry may comprise of up to three students registered in the BTech/BE course in Metallurgy / Metallurgical Engineering in any AICTE/MHRD approved institution in India. The students must be members of IIM.
- Abstracts must be forwarded by respective HoDs of the Institutes. Only one paper will be accepted from each institute
- All invited teams (after screening) will be offered complimentary registration, and paid travel expenses and local hospitality as per IIM norms.
- An expert committee will adjudicate the competition.
- Subject area: Physical and Process Metallurgy including modeling (two sessions)
- Rules for ORAL or POSTER presentation will be communicated in the due course
