Annual Technical Meeting (ATM) is the forum dedicated to presentation and deliberation of scientific / technical papers by the IIM members and invitees (as oral / poster presentations and metallographic contributions). The 63 ATM will be held on 16-17 November 2009, starting at 8:15AM on both days. The entire meeting is divided into five parallel structured mini-symposia devoted to specific areas:

ATM-Mini Symposium
Symposium 1: Extractive and Process Metallurgy (Dedicated to Late Prof. C.V. Sundaram)
Symposium 2: Materials Processing (Dedicated to Late Dr. Placid Rodriguez)
Symposium 3: Structure-Property Correlation (Dedicated to Late Prof.T.R.Anantharaman)
Symposium 4: Advanced Materials
Symposium 5: Material Degradation and Environmental Issues

Each Symposium will comprise 6 to 8 sessions in total, covering 3 to 4 themes. These structured sessions will include one keynote talk and several contributed papers (either as oral or poster presentation).

A special session for UG students has been arranged on 16 November between 2:00 - 3:00 PM.

The Poster Session will be inaugurated at 3:00 PM on 16 November and will remain open till the closure of the ATM programme on 17 November.

A banquet dinner along with an entertainment programme will be hosted in the evening of 16 November at Nalban.

The NMD-ATM 2009 celebrations will end in the afternoon of 17 November with a Valedictory Session.
